Sports Massage and Stretching Techniques (6 CEC's)

While this program covers the different techniques used in various sports massage situations including pre-event, inter-event, and post-event, it's not just for athletes. Learn to treat the cause and not just the symptoms through postural analysis. Incorporate the corrective stretches into just about any massage and educate the client on home stretches.

Orthopedic Assessment (16 CEC's)

A must for any massage therapist. Using Whitney Lowe's book Functional Assessment in Massage Therapy (1997), you will learn how to evaluate your clients' injuries. This is important information to help determine whether to refer the injury out or if it is within your scope of work. Within your scope of work, the test helps narrow down the problem in order to provide the most effective course of treatment.

Business Law and Ethics* (4 CEC's)

Reviewed by an accountant, learn the ins and outs of business law, incorporation needs, contractor vs. employee requirements by the IRS and more. Meets minimum requirement set by NCBTMB for recertification.

Roles and Boundaries* (2 CEC's)

Meet your new 2006 requirements for renewing your certification. This course covers the NCBTMB Code of Ethics, ethics standards, draping, sexual inappropriateness and more.
